Artist's Comments

The reasonably 'not-from-this-time' yet 'almost-from-a-time-that-once-had-been' sort of picture. Obviously from a time, not now, due to the intricate detail used to complete the dress and its frivolty. However the woman in the picture does has the picturesque form of a jester from the ornament on her head and carries a sign of the wealthier from the ornaments decorating her bodice and sleeves and the long cigarette and holder she carries. It's just one of those dresses you wish you could design, make, and wear but have no where to wear it too :(

The folds of her dress detach from the rest of the skirt to reveal tapestries, metal, and beading on the inside. This picture is not unlike the triad of pictures with the tapestrated snakes (I'm probably making up words, but bear with me) yet the tone changes from the rest of her costume.

I wish I had a dress like this..

mm penciL on papeR about... well I wasn't apt for time so I'm supposing anywhere from 3-6 hours.

You always draw such beautiful gowns, and this is no exception.
